In Bastia Umbra, from 19 to 29 September, the Palio de San Michele returns for its 64th edition. The programme opens with the official ceremony and continues with the parades of the four districts: Sant’Angelo, Moncioveta, Portella and San Rocco, alongside the evening opening of the district taverns. Key events include the Giochi in Piazza, with traditional competitions between the districts, and the Minipalio, dedicated to younger participants. On 28 September, the programme includes the Veglia della Lizza, followed by the Lizza and the awarding of the Palio de San Michele. On 29 September, celebrations for the patron saint feature a solemn Mass, the procession of Saint Michael the Archangel and a fireworks display. The programme also includes exhibitions, photography initiatives, local activities, entertainment and events in the district taverns.
