In Terni, at the Mercato Coperto Campagna Amica in Largo Pietro Manni, 6 and 7 November host the event Olivá – L'Oro Verde dell’Umbria, a celebration dedicated to the culture of extra virgin olive oil and local produce. The programme offers numerous opportunities for discovery and conviviality, beginning with farmers' street food available throughout the event. Guided tasting sessions led by industry specialists allow participants to evaluate the organoleptic qualities and criteria of extra virgin olive oil, alongside informative talks highlighting its nutritional benefits and encouraging conscious consumption. The culinary line-up features appearances by culinary figures, including show cooking sessions with Chef Hiro and gastronomic talks with Giorgione and local cooks. The schedule also accommodates families with educational children’s workshops, a morning yoga session, afternoon snacks featuring freshly pressed olive oil, and an autumn refreshment area serving roasted chestnuts and bruschetta. Each day concludes with traditional rustic lunches and dinners showcasing regional specialities, accompanied by live music performances.
