In Valtopina, from 4 to 6 September, the Mostra del Ricamo e del Tessuto of Valtopina returns with a programme dedicated to embroidery, lace and textile art. The event takes place at the Palasport and in several venues around the town centre, with exhibitions, talks, workshops and activities focused on textile craftsmanship. Highlights include a round table on the relationship between tradition and contemporary practice, a fashion show exploring styles from the 19th and 20th centuries, and a conference on contemporary craftsmanship. Throughout the three days, visitors can also explore exhibitions dedicated to embroidery, fiber art, costume, fashion and textile installations, with projects connecting traditional techniques and contemporary languages. The programme also includes mini-courses and embroidery workshops, children’s activities, art therapy sessions and the “Ricamare l’Umbria” competition.
