Metamorfosi del suono e pratiche dell’ascolto ad Amelia

In Amelia, on May 2, the program Metamorphoses of Sound presents two events focused on listening practices and the relationship between sound, body, and space. At 4:00 PM, at Palazzo Petrignani, the workshop Variations on Listening takes place across the palace rooms and its historic garden. The experience begins with breathing and unfolds through guided exercises exploring perception, posture, and the interaction between external space and inner awareness. Sound is approached in its physical and embodied dimension, with shared reflections at the end.

At 7:00 PM and 7:45 PM, inside the Roman Cisterns of Amelia, Nettuno, a concert by Hanna M. Civico, explores sound transformations through vocal improvisation and silence as structure. The performance engages with the acoustic qualities of the underground space, creating an immersive listening environment where resonance and architecture interact. The audience is invited to experience an active and attentive form of listening.

The program continues on June 1 with Aveliquor, a further concert exploring sound memory, voice, and space.
