Lightquake

After "Light in the stone", the light installation of the artist and scenographer Sebastiano Romano that last December concerned towers and walls of the Spoleto's Albornoz Fortress, "Lightquake", the artistic project born to promote the recovery of the cultural heritage damaged by the earthquake who hit the central Italy, continues throughout 2017.  


All events are going to cover as main issue the light, key element and symbol of reaction and hope to break the darkness of destruction.

THE CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGN: Lightquake - Donations to rebuild the artistic heritage

From the 1st February

In view of supporting the recovery of artistic artworks in the areas hit by the earthquake, starting from the 1st February 2017 a crowdfunding's campaign will be launched by using the platform STARTEED, specialized in this kind of activity.

 

"GUESTS AT THE FORTRESS: ARTWORKS TRANSITING FROM AREAS AFFECTED BY THE EARTHQUAKE"

25 February - 14 May 2017

The exhibition is going to host artworks coming from different museums and churches of the crater's area. During the exhibition period it will be possible to participate to guided visits, conferences, contributions by experts on themes concerning art history and history of the territory.

 

URBAN LIGHT ART Seminar

12 May 2017

It's an opportunity to learn more about the relationship between Light Art and the historical heritage in an urban setting. The initiative, open to professionals, companies, students and to the public, is going to focus on the research and discovery of relationships between these two worlds, a field of experimentation and specific actions.

 

LIGHTQUAKE Exhibition - Collective of light's artists

2017 Christmas

The first exhibition of Light Art in Umbria is going to take place in the Albornoz Fortress' halls that is going to open in the Christmas period and is continuing until the first months of 2018.

From the 11th May to the 10th June 2017 the exhibition Black Light Art is going to take place at the Milan's Region Palace and it will explore the artistic values of the black light, by proposing artworks by more than ten artists who have always been experimenting that or that are approaching it for the first time.
