The Bauhaus Women and the Margarete Heymann Case
At Palazzo della Penna (Perugia), from April 25 to September 13, 2026, the exhibition “The Bauhaus Women and the Margarete Heymann Case” presents 150 works exploring the contribution of women to 20th-century design. The exhibition addresses themes such as the Bauhaus, modern design, and women’s artistic research, with a focus on Margarete Heymann and her role in the renewal of ceramic and industrial production. Curated by Carlo Terrosi with the collaboration of Roberto Terrosi, the exhibition offers a narrative that intertwines artistic experiences and historical contexts, highlighting the dynamics that shaped women’s participation in the German school. The display includes works, documents, and materials that reflect both collective experiences and individual contributions. Guided tours are scheduled, including a tour on April 25 at 4 pm with the curator and weekly appointments every Saturday at 5 pm. Opening hours vary seasonally, with continuous hours from Tuesday to Sunday in spring and summer and daily opening in August.
