Hispellum
From the 22nd to the 25th August, Spello relives one of the richest and most powerful periods of its history with "Hispellum": an event which remembers the fasti of the town during Roman times.
Specifically, the event re-enacts the "Rescript of Constantine" of 336 A. D., with which Spello was recognised as the federal capital of the territory, obtaining the unique privilege of celebrating games and rites in the name of all Umbri people.
A journey to the place Caesar called "The most splendid Julia Colony" through shows, themed dinners, scenes of daily life and period settings: with battles, gladiators and processions, the Gentes Julia, Flavia and Flaminia will challenge each other in games in the hope of ultimate victory.
