Grande assurdo 2026
In Spoleto, from 27 June to 10 January, the ground floor of Palazzo Collicola hosts Grande assurdo, a solo exhibition by Adelaide Cioni curated by Saverio Verini.
The project was conceived for the spaces of the palace and presents a route made up of different rooms, inhabited by geometric, organic and archetypal forms, suspended elements, vertical meadows, recurring symbols and non-human presences.
Using materials such as fabric, plaster and wood, Cioni works in dialogue with the museum’s architecture. The works change the perception of the spaces and invite visitors to look at rooms, perspectives and points of view in a new way.
The exhibition draws on references from art history, the theatre of the absurd and mystical visions. The result is a path in which reality, imagination and the transformation of space are intertwined.
