Castiglione del Lago, from May 1 to 3, 2026, hosts the Three Lakes Tour, a non-competitive cycling excursion connecting Lake Trasimeno, Lake Montepulciano and Lake Chiusi. The route was created to link the western hamlets of Trasimeno, crossing rural landscapes between Umbria and Tuscany.

The route is about 45 km long with a 700 m elevation gain and medium difficulty. Starting from the former airport cycle path, it passes through Piana and Pozzuolo, reaching Lake Montepulciano. It continues through the Val di Chiana hills, including stops at Mugnanesi, Binami and the rural church of Madonna del Popolino. The route then follows Lake Chiusi, climbs to Valiano, and returns to Castiglione del Lago.
