Montefalco hosts from July 30 to August 19 the Fuga del Bove, a historical re-enactment animating the Umbrian village across its four districts, with taverns open from August 6 to 19.

The programme opens on July 30 with the Renaissance Banquet, followed on August 11 by the Historical Procession. August 12 features the Flag-Throwers' and Drummers' Competitions, while August 13 brings each district's own performances in the historic centre. On August 14, La Staffetta relay race and the Crossbow Competition take place. The festival concludes on August 19 with the Corsa dei Bovi, the race that gives the event its name and crowns the winning district.
