Festival delle Creature 2026
In Assisi, from 9 to 11 October, the Festival delle Creature takes place, a cultural event created to mark the eight-hundredth anniversary of the death of Saint Francis. Inspired by the Canticle of the Creatures, the festival explores its message through the languages of contemporary art, music, literature and live performance.
Throughout the three-day programme, artists, authors and guests take part in events and discussions centred on the relationship between people, nature and community. Through different forms of artistic expression, the festival offers perspectives on themes that remain relevant today and continue to resonate with the message of the Canticle.
The festival encourages reflection on topics such as the relationship with the environment, coexistence and a shared sense of belonging, creating opportunities for dialogue between different disciplines and viewpoints.
