In Monte Cucco, on 28 June, “From the Rule to the Territory” offers a guided itinerary dedicated to exploring the relationship between landscape, history and local traditions through some of the most significant sites of the Umbrian Apennines. The experience begins at Pian delle Macinare, the starting point for a walk through forests, trails and rock formations that shape the mountain environment. The route then continues to the Chestnut Grove of San Girolamo, where participants can learn about the history of the area and the connection between the natural landscape and the communities that have lived there over the centuries. A visit to the Hermitage of San Girolamo follows, exceptionally open for the occasion, providing an opportunity to discover the site’s spiritual heritage and religious tradition. The day concludes in Pascelupo, where participants can enjoy a meal featuring local products and spend time in the village at the foot of Monte Cucco. The event combines nature, local history, landscape culture and spirituality, offering an opportunity to discover the distinctive character of this area of Umbria through a guided walk and educational moments along the route.
