BAG/MUSEUM by David Pompili
At the CAOS – Centro Arti Opificio Siri in Terni, from May 9, visitors can explore BAG/MUSEUM by David Pompili, inaugurated on Saturday, May 9 at 6 PM in the Ronchini Hall. The exhibition features around forty works and a large immersive sculptural installation, presented for the first time in a solo exhibition by the Umbrian artist at the cultural venue. The project develops as a reflection on contemporary art, collage, symbolism, and the transformation of everyday objects, beginning with a simple and familiar element: a McDonald’s paper bag reinterpreted as a visual and conceptual medium. Through layered interventions and associations of images and meanings, the object moves beyond its original function to acquire a new symbolic and narrative dimension. The installation interacts with the exhibited works, encouraging visitors to observe ordinary materials from a different perspective and connecting visual memory, popular culture, and contemporary artistic languages within the setting of the CAOS – Centro Arti Opificio Siri.
