In Assisi, from April 24 to October 4, 2026, Assisi Summer 2026 presents a wide program of events marking the eighth Franciscan centenary through art, music, performance, and nature. The program opens with the exhibition Franciscus. Fratello in Arte featuring Michelangelo Pistoletto and continues with cultural initiatives across the historic center and surrounding areas.

Among the music events is DeMusicAssisi 2026 – Gloriosus Franciscus, a medieval music festival held from August 4 to 9 in various locations throughout the city. The Cambio Festival, running from June 6, 2026 to February 6, 2027, offers a musical program set in historical and landscape contexts.

The schedule also includes sports and experiential activities such as the Corsa dello scopetto on May 16, the Ascent to Mount Subasio on July 4 with Ensemble Micrologus, the Trail Costa di Trex on August 2, handbike initiatives, and the Giro dell’Umbria motorcycle event from August 10 to 15. Events take place between the historic center and the natural environment.
