Inside the small agritourism village, near the manor house, is the 'Antico Frantoio dei Cardarelli'. The oil mill used by the family for the extraction of olive oil until around 1920, is unique in that it consists of a four-vineyard press and a large stone millstone that have been well preserved. It is certainly one of the few remaining, in central Italy, on the same site where it was built in the late 1600s. The mill was renovated in 2000 using ancient techniques and materials to keep the environment as faithful as possible to its original connotations. The mill is available to all those who wish to visit it, to experience a piece of history and understand the evolution of oil extraction techniques in an environment with a warm and evocative atmosphere; the millstone turned by the donkey and the presses moved by human strength are a far cry from the modern equipment used for oil extraction!
