Du Tango Nuevo à la New Musette
Richard Galliano, accordion's international star, will be the protagonist of the performance "Du Tango Nuevo à la New Musette" that will open the Two Worlds' Festival.
The appointment is for Easter's Monday, on 17th April, at the Gian Carlo Menotti New Theatre. Together with the famous artist, on the stage there will also be Bertrand Cervera (first violin), Saskia Lethiec (violin), Jean Paul Minali Bella (viola), Eric Levionnois (cello) and Sylvain le Provost (double bass).
The concert will be the forerunner of the festival's 60th edition, that will be inaugurated the next 30th June with the play "Don Giovanni", the conclusing performance of the three-year artistical project of the Mozart/Da Ponte trilogy.
The previews include: on the 2nd July piazza Duomo will host the requiem "They will tighten a comet in their fist", "He had two guns with the white and black eyes" will take place from the 7th to the 9th July at the "New" Theatre, "The scortecata" is expected from the 6th to the 13th July at the Caio Melisso Theatre and the presence of Riccardo Muti has been already confirmed for the final concert of 16th July, where he will direct the "Luigi Cherubini" youth orchestra.

Accordionist, virtuoso bandoneonist and composer, Richard Galliano expresses himself in the most diverse music genres, from classical to jazz music.
He was the only accordionist to record for the prestigious classical brand Deutsche Grammophon and he recorded more than 50 albums. He boasts numerous collaborations with artists of the jazz world and of the French song's genre. He was awarded in 1997 and 1998 at the Victoires de la Musique Jazz for his albums "New York Tango" and "Blow up", and in 2014 at the Victoires de la Musique Jazz as Best Year's Composer.
