Amelia welcomes the arrival of summer with "Amelia Estate": until the end of September, wine and food, art, culture and traditions are celebrated in the town's streets and piazzas.

One of the most enthralling events is the "Palio dei Colombi", the historical re-enactment inspired by the Statuti Comunali (communal statutes) of 1346.

Processions, local traditional dishes and the quintain and crossbow tournament between the knights and archers of the five Contrade (neighbourhoods) take Amelia back to the 14th century.

Celebrating the Feast of the Assumption in Amelia, the two standout events are "Concerto dell'Assunta" and "Nessun Dorma", the "Notte Bianca"- a late-night festival with concerts, food and wine tastings, as well as markets.

There are also many events dedicated to art and culture. Every Saturday and Sunday it will be possible to visit the Teatro Sociale, which is normally closed to the public, together with the other locations forming Amelia's museum network: the Archaeological Museum, the Roman Cistern and Palazzo Petrignani.
