Cantamaggio Ternano 2026

In Terni, from April 24 to May 9, 2026, the 130th edition of Cantamaggio Ternano takes place, an event combining popular tradition, artistic expression and entertainment. The program opens with the inauguration of the painting and photography exhibition “Luci di Primavera,” dedicated to the city and the history of Cantamaggio, and continues with the “Giuseppe Capiato” folk song competition, focused on local musical traditions.

One of the central moments is the allegorical float parade, which runs through the city center along a route including viale della Stazione and the main squares, with the floats displayed afterward until May 4. Created by local artistic groups, the floats address various themes, including environment, transformation and identity, and take part in a competition with award ceremonies.

The program also includes live music performances in public squares, youth-oriented events, competitions such as the dialect poetry contest, and activities across the city center, including the mini-float parade and initiatives involving local communities. The event concludes with the final lottery draw.
