From 25 April to 20 September 2026, Umbria hosts the first edition of the Umbria Balloon Festival, a new event dedicated to hot air ballooning, spread across the region with stops in 14 towns: Perugia, Terni, Assisi, Castel Ritaldi, Castiglione del Lago, Corciano, Gualdo Tadino, Magione, Montecchio, Montefalco, Orvieto, Passignano sul Trasimeno, Todi and Torgiano.

The event is integrated with the local food, wine and cultural highlights of each stop, offering a programme spread over nearly five months. Among the key appointments, a two-stage rally: the first at Trasimeno from 24 to 26 July, the second in Todi from 31 July to 2 August.
