Humans – Origins and Evolution of Humanity
Gubbio, from March 14, 2026 to February 28, 2027, hosts the exhibition “Humans – Origins and Evolution of Humanity”, set in the former Monastery of San Benedetto as part of “Dinosaurs in Flesh and Bones – Extinction”. The exhibition explores the evolutionary process of humans, linking biological changes with cultural development.
The display highlights the role of brain and hands as key elements in adaptation, food acquisition and survival strategies. Over time, humans increasingly relied on culture and technology, reshaping both lifestyle and environment.
The exhibition features illustrated panels, multimedia content and life-size hyper-realistic models, alongside fossil casts and stone tools. This combination creates a narrative that presents evolution as a complex system, outlining major stages of human development.
Special focus is given to hominids, reconstructed on a scientific basis and presented as individuals, offering a narrative approach that connects scientific data with public interpretation.
