Trekking delle Canapine 2026

In Trevi, on October 17 and 18, the Trekking delle Canapine takes place as part of the Ottobre Trevano event and the 62nd Black Celery Market Exhibition and Festival. The initiative offers a hiking route through the narrow strip of land known as the Canapine, located between Borgo and the Clitunno riverbed, where the renowned Black Celery of Trevi—a Slow Food presidium—is cultivated. During the walk, participants have the opportunity to stop at local producers for tastings and learn about the artisanal cultivation methods of the plant, rooted in a sowing tradition that dates back to Good Friday. The itinerary also reaches the Romanistic church of Santa Maria di Pietrarossa, adorned with frescoes inside and under its surrounding portico, combining the promotion of typical food and wine products with the discovery of the historical and landscape heritage of the Umbrian territory.
