At the Sala delle Pietre in Todi, from 1 to 9 August, the 18th International Guitar Festival “Suoni dal Legno” will take place, a series devoted to the classical guitar and to encounters among performers from different countries. The programme opens on 1 August with Jonathan Gangi from the United States and István Ferenc Beke from Romania. On 2 August, French guitarist Philippe Villa will perform in an evening that also includes the Young Talents Series, dedicated to emerging musicians. On 6 August, Massimo Agostinelli, flautist Roberto Orengo and Diego Campagna will appear together in a concert bringing together repertoire and chamber-music formations. Marco Battaglia and Giovanni Grano will perform on 7 August. The festival concludes on 9 August with the Amadeus Guitar Duo, formed by Canadian guitarist Dale Kavanagh and German guitarist Thomas Kirchhoff. All concerts begin at 9:00 pm and admission is free.
