In Spoleto, from 16 October to 20 November, Spoleto Jazz takes place, a festival dedicated to contemporary jazz hosted at Teatro Nuovo G. C. Menotti and Teatro Caio Melisso.

The seventh edition presents a programme exploring different expressions of international jazz, with artists from the European and American scenes. The claim Jazz! Is a Love Supreme recalls the legacy of John Coltrane and the role of improvisation as a space for listening and musical dialogue.

The programme opens on 16 October at Teatro Nuovo with Judith Hill, an American singer and multi-instrumentalist whose music moves between jazz, soul and R&B. On 6 November, Teatro Caio Melisso hosts Zsigmond Gerlóczy at 9:00 p.m. and the Daniel García Trio at 10:00 p.m., in an evening dedicated to European piano jazz. On 20 November, again at Teatro Caio Melisso, the festival closes with Emma Smith and her quartet, between jazz vocals and swing.
