Sagra Musicale Umbra 2026

Across Umbria, from 19 September to 3 October, the 81st Sagra Musicale Umbra presents “Anni Acerbi”, a programme devoted to childhood, adolescence and the search for identity.

Inspired by the writer Jean Paul Richter, the title refers to the years of growing up, shaped by discovery, wonder, vulnerability and early inner conflicts. These themes are explored through music by Mahler, Ravel, Schumann, Busoni, Mozart and other composers.

The programme includes symphonic, choral, chamber and organ concerts featuring orchestras, ensembles, choirs, young musicians and international soloists. Highlights include Mahler’s Fourth Symphony, Busoni’s Berceuse élégiaque and Mozart’s Coronation Mass K317.

Events will take place in Perugia and in several towns across the region, including Assisi, Spello, Montefalco, Norcia, Panicale, Terni, Montone, San Gemini, Solomeo and Gualdo Tadino.
