From August 10 to 23, Città della Pieve hosts the Palio dei Terzieri, a historical re-enactment spread across three districts: Castello, Casalino and Borgo Dentro.

The programme includes theatrical performances, Renaissance fairs, processions, early music concerts and flag-throwing displays, evoking life in Umbrian Renaissance at the time of Perugino.

The closing event is the Caccia del Toro on Sunday August 23: an archery competition preceded by the historical procession from Piazza Plebiscito with over eight hundred costumed participants. At the Campo Sportivo "Serenella Baglioni", three archers per district compete from 33 metres with three arrows each on a Chianina bull target. The highest-scoring district wins the Drappo by master Antonio Marroni.
