In Nocera Umbra, from 3 to 9 August 2026, the Palio dei Quartieri takes place, an event combining historical re-enactment, performances and competition, involving the Porta Santa Croce and Borgo San Martino districts. The 2026 edition focuses on figures and events that have shaped the social history of Nocera, with particular attention to influences and presences from other territories.

The event opens with the reading of the proclamation in Piazza Caprera and continues with the historical parades, during which hundreds of participants walk through the historic centre in period costumes, accompanied by drummers and staged representations inspired by the Middle Ages and the 19th century.

Throughout the week, the historic centre also hosts the district taverns, offering dishes linked to local tradition and historical gastronomy. At the same time, activities dedicated to the artistic and re-enactment aspects are held, including the awarding of a special prize evaluating parades, settings and performances.

The final moment of the event is represented by the Games of the Unfaithful Lady, competitions that bring the districts face to face and determine the winner of the Palio.
