Paesaggi del nuovo millennio 2026/2027
From October 24 to January 17, the CIAC – Italian Center for Contemporary Art in Foligno hosts the group exhibition Paesaggi del nuovo millennio, curated by Matteo Balduzzi and centered on the evolution of the landscape concept across the turn of the millennium. The exhibition presents over 130 works by 18 Italian and international artists from the collections of the MUNAF - National Museum of Photography, displayed in complete series and large formats to foster a direct visual and spatial engagement with the public. The selection retraces the transition toward digital technologies, the encounter with scales comparable to painting, and a critical reassessment of globalization dynamics, broadening the inquiry to include ecological themes, social shifts, and the return of the human figure within the environment. Featured artists include Gabriele Basilico, Paola Di Bello, Paola De Pietri, Paul Graham, Guido Guidi, Armin Linke, Alessandra Spranzi, Thomas Struth, and Massimo Vitali, testifying to a pivotal chapter in contemporary photographic expression.
