On 19^th and 20^th November "Olivagando" will take place in Magione: it's a festival including painting contests, market-exhibitions, walks and horseback rides, musical and theatre performances for adults and kids, beyond tastings of typical land and mainly lake products.

The event will allow all participants to get to know better the quality of Trasimeno's oil in all its aspects: environmental context, productions and problems linked to its cultivation.

Additionally, the second edition of the contest "The sweet drop" will be focused on the excellent local products.

This two-day festival will turn into an occasion to discover the Magione's historical center, transformed into an authentic home of the local food and wine, following the taste of a food with a 6000 years history.

Rocca di Passignano

The Fortress of Passignano rises within the village, slightly raised above the town that developed later along the lake shore. Passignano means literally “Place of the Step”. That probably refers to the existence of a Roman military structure that controlled the famous “Step”, a connecting road between the North and South of the peninsula.
