On 18 October, 1 and 15 November, Umbria hosts the Moto Giro dei Frantoi Aperti, an event for motorcyclists travelling through historic villages, olive-covered hills and panoramic roads during Frantoi Aperti. The programme includes three different routes: on Sunday 18 October the tour runs through the hills between Assisi and Spoleto, on Sunday 1 November it moves to the Trasimeno hills, while on Sunday 15 November it crosses the Amerini and Orvietani hills. Each route offers a motorcycle journey through the Umbrian landscape during the olive harvesting and pressing season. Stops are planned at working olive mills, where participants can learn more about the pressing process and the production of freshly pressed extra virgin olive oil. The itinerary also includes new olive oil tastings, bruschetta and products linked to local culinary traditions.
