La Mezza 300 2026
On Sunday 12 July 2026, Cascia hosts the seventh edition of La Mezza 300, a free-pace cycling event set among the landscapes of the Valnerina. Riders gather from 7:00 am in Piazza San Francesco, with a French-style start between 8:15 and 8:30 am and finish at the same location.
The event is open to road bikes and e-bikes and offers three routes on tarmac. The Short Route covers 58 km with 890 m of elevation gain, rated easy in physical difficulty and suitable for all riders. The Medium Route spans 87 km with 1,480 m of elevation gain, aimed at cyclists with good technical and physical ability. The Long Route reaches 111 km with 1,980 m of elevation gain, also rated medium difficulty with solid cycling skills required.
All routes are marked with black arrows on a yellow background near junctions, with chip-equipped checkpoints to record each rider's passage. GPS tracks are available for download.
Prizes are awarded to teams and individuals who complete at least one route. Rankings recognise, among others, the top fifteen clubs by kilometres ridden — with a bonus based on region of origin — as well as the youngest and oldest finishers by gender, the participant travelling from furthest away, and all mixed couples.
