The 19th century was a period of major changes and social transformations for the city of Umbertide.

To preserve the memory of this important historical period, for the past twenty years the city has celebrated Fratta dell’Ottocento, one of the most significant events in Umbria.

The historic centre comes alive with performances, ballets, concerts, theatrical events and period costumes, transporting the city into a unique atmosphere from another era.

A journey into the past to discover artistic and culinary traditions, with the opportunity to taste traditional dishes of the time served in the historic taverns. This year, Umbertide’s great community celebration will take place from 27 to 30 August, with all events offering free admission.
