From 28 to 31 July, Tuoro sul Trasimeno, Isola Maggiore and Castiglione del Lago host the Festival del Cinema Italiano – Le Stelle d’Argento, an event exploring cinema and its different forms of expression.

The programme includes screenings of short films, documentaries and feature films, together with talks, panels, workshops, masterclasses, book presentations and live performances. Scheduled sessions examine serial writing, the presentation of audiovisual projects, costume design, behind-the-scenes professions, communication and new technologies for cinema.

The panel “Oltre lo specchio dell’acqua”, moderated by Marcello Foti, focuses on environmental and local issues, while the masterclasses cover immersive projection, wellbeing in the entertainment industry, film make-up and special effects. The festival also features several book presentations involving authors and figures from the worlds of cinema and culture.

The entertainment programme includes the musical journey “Note nel tempo” on 28 July, the “Gran Galà” with the Premio Castello Isola Maggiore on 30 July and the Stelle d’Argento awards ceremony on 31 July.

All events, masterclasses and screenings are free of charge, subject to venue capacity.
