In Sellano, on 17 and 18 October, the Festa della Campagna returns with two days dedicated to autumn flavours, music and popular traditions. On Saturday 17 October, the programme begins in the afternoon with the opening of the market stalls in the square, followed by traditional games, fritters and a performance by the Tamburini e Sbandieratori di Percussio. The day also includes a performance by the folk group “Li matti de Montecò”, while the taverns open in the evening and, from 11:30 pm, the “dal tramonto all’alba” night continues with DJ Pica Soft. Sunday 18 October begins with Holy Mass and the blessing of agricultural vehicles and animals; from 1:00 pm the taverns reopen, followed in the afternoon by markets, traditional games and fritters. At 4:00 pm the trio “Gli Stornellatori” performs songs and stornelli from the Roman tradition, while the day ends with the evening opening of the taverns and dinner with the performers. Throughout both days, the festival also features seasonal specialities such as chestnuts, polenta and mulled wine, together with entertainment in the village.
