On Sunday, November 8, the central square of Monterubiaglio, in the municipality of Castel Viscardo, hosts the thirty-second edition of the Festa del Bigonzone, an annual event dedicated to new wine and local culinary traditions. The day begins at 12:30 PM with a communal lunch priced at 25 euros per person including drinks, offering a choice between two full menus from appetizer to dessert: the first featuring polenta with meat ragù and pork stew with beans, the second with meat lasagna and roast chicken with potatoes. Afternoon entertainment is provided by the live music of Mandalamarra, leading up to 4:00 PM for the traditional ritual “Se mette la cannella...”, when the barrels are officially tapped for the tasting of the novello wine.
