Creature senza confine 2026

In Gubbio, from 5 to 27 July, Creature senza confine presents a three-part programme that offers a contemporary interpretation of the story of Saint Francis' Wolf through music, theatre and storytelling. The wolf, transformed from a threat into a presence welcomed by the community, becomes a starting point for reflecting on otherness, dialogue and the possibility of mutual understanding.

The programme opens on 5 July at the Cloister of Saint Francis with "The Stranger", combining jazz music, theatrical performance and the participation of Coro Aperto. On 10 July, the Parco della Vittorina hosts "The Story of the Wolf and Francis", bringing together medieval jazz and theatre to revisit the encounter between Francis and the wolf as a story of reconciliation. The final event takes place on 27 July at the Church of Saint Francis of Peace with "Spiritual Cantata in Memory of the Wolf", a secular vigil featuring blues and spiritual music and narrations by Claudia Fofi and Angelo Mischianti.
