On 12 and 13 September, a new edition of “Francesco nei Sentieri” will take place between Perugia, the Tiber River and Lake Trasimeno. Organized by ASD Francesco, this vintage cycling tour combines sport, culture and the passion for historic bicycles in an event focused on the connection between people and nature.

Riding their vintage bicycles, participants will travel through secondary roads, hills and natural landscapes, discovering some of the most characteristic areas of the region. The event is designed for cycling enthusiasts, amateur riders and lovers of vintage bicycles, offering routes suitable for different levels of experience.

Two routes will be available: a shorter 58-kilometre course with an elevation gain of 723 metres and a longer 104-kilometre course with an elevation gain of 1150 metres. Both itineraries cross landscapes shaped by the Tiber River, the Umbrian countryside and the surroundings of Lake Trasimeno, alternating panoramic sections with passages through local towns and rural areas.
