The host town of the of Festival of Two Worlds, is a cultural meeting place where there the arts combine and merge, making it the ideal setting for "Rendez Vous 2016 - Danse Francaise", scheduled to take place from the 26th March until December 2016.

A season of shows, workshops, exhibitions, performances, music and dance which will be focusing on four significant moments connected to as many eminent figures in the world of dance: the choreographers Christine Gérard, Christian Bourigault, Dominique Dupuy and Brigitte Hyon.

Opening the festival on Saturday 26th March at 17.00, at Casa Menotti, is the show "Edith Piaf, Cabaret contemporaneo" ("Edith Piaf, Contemporary Cabaret"), a tribute to one of France's greatest artists.

After the music, there is space for dance: from Tuesday 30th March to Saturday 2nd April 2016, a workshop and an evening open to the public organised by Christine Gérard will be taking place.

Instead, in June, is the appointment with the Fete De La Danse "dans la rue" for professional dancers and dance schools, which will be kicking off a series of exchanges and collaborations between Italy and France, followed by a Creative Residence with Christian Bourigault, Un Rendez Vous Silence de Pierres (The Silence of Stones).

In September, a contemporary dance seminar with Dominique Dupuy will be taking place. Lastly, in December, Brigitte Hyon will be holding a masterclass for professional and amateur dancers in Spoleto.
