Abitare il canto 2026

In Amelia, on 4 and 5 January 2026Abitare il canto presents a musical project featuring an a cappella concert unfolding throughout the day in different locations across the town, alongside moments of in-depth exploration.

On 4 January, the programme follows an itinerant route accompanying the audience from dawn until the afternoon. Listening sessions begin at Lago Vecchio in the early morning and continue at the Picture Gallery and Archaeological Museum and the Roman Cisterns, with several repetitions during the late morning. In the afternoon, the route concludes at Palazzo Venturelli, where a guided visit and a final concert take place, both subject to reservation. The musical programme is repeated several times, allowing audiences to join the listening experience at different moments of the day.

On 5 January, the focus shifts to in-depth sessions, with a Deep Listening workshop at Palazzo Petrignani and a public talk in the afternoon at Avamposto, centred on listening practices and sound research. The project is artistically directed by Hanna M. Civico and involves a temporary community of singers, bringing together professionals and enthusiasts from different regions of Italy.
