Monterubiaglio hosts, from 8 December 2025 to 6 January 2026, a series of events dedicated to the Christmas season, taking place in the village squares, theatre and churches. The programme is designed to involve both residents and visitors, with special attention to families and children.

The celebrations begin in Piazza dello Statuto with the lighting of the Christmas decorations, accompanied by activities for children, including writing letters and the drawing of the Secret Santa, which becomes a recurring theme throughout the events. In the days leading up to Christmas, the square also hosts the gift exchange, a visit from Santa Claus and a treasure hunt for younger participants.

Christmas Eve offers a moment of community gathering after the evening service, with a shared toast featuring traditional drinks and sweets. On 31 December, the Monterubiaglio Theatre hosts the New Year’s Eve celebration, including a full dinner, live music throughout the evening and bar service, available by reservation.

The programme continues in the new year with the traditional Vecchiarella procession through the streets of the village, followed by the Epiphany Concert at the church of Monterubiaglio, featuring the “Incanto” Polyphonic Choir of Castel Viscardo. Together, these events combine social occasions, local traditions and cultural moments that characterise the Christmas season in the village
