The meeting with the guide is in Piazza 4 Novembre, in front of the Fontana Maggiore. From here we ascend towards Porta Sole to admire the spectacular panorama of the northern part of the city. We descend towards the Etruscan Arch, an incredible monument from ancient times and the gateway to the ancient city. Walking back up to the square, one can admire enchanting views of the ancient aqueduct, now a pedestrian path. Return to Piazza 4 Novembre via the characteristic Via Maestà delle Volte. We visit the Palazzo dei Priori, the Cathedral of San Lorenzo and the Fontana Maggiore, a masterpiece of medieval sculpture and symbol of Perugia. Walking along Corso Vannucci, we reach Rocca Paolina, a mighty 16th-century fortification that conceals a veritable underground city, the last stop on the tour.
