Among the green Umbrian hills, in the pretty town of Baschi, the 'Centolitri' brewery was the first in the province of Terni to open its doors.
Our Master Brewer Maurizio's passion for craft beers began when he returned from a trip to Belgium. He built a fifty-litre beer brewing machine with his own hands and at weekends he studied, designed and experimented with recipes, producing 'Centolitri' of beer between Saturday and Sunday, hence the name of the brewery! He trained at specialised brewing research centres and thanks to his passion and experience in the field, he created craft beers linked to the territory.

Productive process
The brewery makes use of the water on site and the beers are brewed using the infusion technique. There is no filtration or pasteurisation, the clarification of the product is essentially given by maturation at a controlled temperature. The carbonation of the beer is obtained by re-fermentation in the bottle, giving the product a high degree of digestibility and genuineness. Particular care is taken in the choice of raw materials, which are carefully selected to obtain beers of high quality and distinct personality. In the microbrewery we experiment with techniques and beer styles related not only to standard types but also design beers made with ancient grains, saffron and gluten-free products such as quinoa.
