Panicale has been recognised as one of the 'Most Beautiful Villages in Italy' . It is located in Umbria on the border with Tuscany. Umbria is called the 'green heart' of Italy because of its central location and natural landscape.

Rake is the Italian word for the hand tool used to gently pluck ripe olives from the tree. For us, it is a symbol of family and friends meeting in the olive grove to share the ancient beauty of the harvest.Panicale is located halfway between Rome and Florence, with a fast train to each city departing from Chiusi (a 20-minute drive from Panicale). We cater for the world traveller who wants to experience the 'real' Italy, the typical Italian village, different from the big cities. Although Panicale is small, there are some wonderful restaurants and cafés to choose from, all within a minute's walk of the hotel. From Panicale you can quickly reach many beautiful Umbrian towns, such as Perugia, Assisi, Orvieto, Solomeo, Montefalco, Gubbio and Deruta. With Tuscany so close by, it is also very easy to drive to Chiusi, Cortona, Siena, Pienza, Montepulciano and Arezzo.
