Formerly called 'Villa Bagnariae' due to its abundance of water springs, the Locanda dell'Angelo farmhouse stands 400 metres above sea level amidst the centuries-old olive trees of the Umbrian hills. Next to the farmhouse, which dates back to the 12th century, a small chapel dedicated to the Madonna del Carmine was built in 1333. From the Locanda dell'Angelo, the view sweeps over the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli and the splendid landscape of the Umbrian Valley.
