Dettaglio accomodation
Casa Vespina is a small hamlet made up of three buildings: our house, which used to be the old stable; a room with large windows, where meals are served and which can be used for meetings, conferences, workshops and tastings; and the main farmhouse, in which six independent housing units have been built. The restoration was carried out using green building methods, with great attention to energy saving, efficiency and the preservation of the original structures. The structure consists of 3 rooms and 3 newly renovated flats, furnished simply but tastefully. All are equipped with bathroom, independent heating and free wi-fi service. The flats have an equipped kitchenette and refrigerator. All the apartments have independent and direct access to the surrounding garden, where it is possible to walk in nature and where there are several relaxation corners to read, sunbathe or rest in peace. The common room, cheerful and colourful, hosts breakfasts and meals. There is a shared thematic library, where one can consult many books on agriculture, nature, and the ecological transition.
Most of the energy used is produced from renewable sourcesAll the lights are LED to encourage energy saving and the outdoor lighting is designed not to create light pollution. The heating, as well as the hot water for the sanitary facilities, are provided by solar panels, a wood boiler fuelled by recycled wood from our forest, and photovoltaic panels. Rainwater is collected and channelled into a natural impluvium, a small pond where dragonflies, frogs, toads and newts breed. Throughout the farm there are natural and artificial nests and feeders to help the small birds in their winter troubles or during migration. You will also find bio-traps that help us control the most troublesome insects in a completely natural and non-toxic way.Everywhere there are flowers, trees, cultivated fields and a gentle hilly landscape unobstructed to the eye.
