Monte Peglia Trekking & Nature 2025

From March to April 2025, Monte Peglia and its surroundings will come alive with a series of guided hikes, offering a unique experience combining nature, history, and geology. The activities, organized by Monte Peglia Trekking & Natura, range from ecological walks in the hills of San Venanzo to more challenging hikes in the Monte Peglia forests, as well as the discovery of the region’s unique volcanic landscapes.

Itineraries & Activities:

    •    March 16: A circular ecological walk in the hills of San Venanzo, starting from the Parish Church. Difficulty: E, 10 km, 3.5 hours.

    •    March 30: A circular route in the woods of Poggio Spaccato, starting at La Tavernetta di Peppa e Angelino, offering a deep immersion in nature. Difficulty: E, 10.5 km, 3.5 hours (excluding stops).

    •    April 6: A hike from Parco dei Settefrati to Prodo, crossing a panoramic plateau, with a visit to the village and a packed lunch. Difficulty: E, 16 km, 6.5 hours.

    •    April 21: The Walk in the Fersinone Valley follows the Sette Valli trail and the Fersinone stream from Migliano to San Vito in Monte, starting at Castello di Migliano. Difficulty: E, 16 km, 6.5 hours.

    •    April 25: On the 80th anniversary of Liberation, a circular route from Rotecastello to the San Venanzo volcano, Mille Papaveri Rossi, starting in Rotecastello. Difficulty: E, 10 km, 3.5 hours.

    •    April 26: A hike in the Monte Melonta protected natural area, San Marino Between History and Nature, shedding light on a WWII episode, starting at the San Marino club. Difficulty: E, 7 km, 4 hours.

    •    April 27: San Venanzo, the Three Volcanoes Loop, a route to discover unique minerals and rocks, starting from the Vulcanological Museum. Difficulty: T, 6 km, 3 hours.

Additionally, every Sunday and on holidays from 10:00 to 13:00 and 15:00 to 18:00 (Easter: 16:00-19:00), the San Venanzo Vulcanological Museum and Park will offer guided tours. For information and reservations, contact +39 3341546609.
