The eleventh edition of the Medieval Festival, in Gubbio, will explore the theme “The Journey. Pilgrims, Wanderers, Explorers”, offering a fascinating look at the Middle Ages in motion. In the Jubilee Year, the festival will challenge the misconception of the Middle Ages as a static era, instead revealing epic migrations, pilgrimages, trade, exploration, and cultural exchanges.

Historians, writers, scientists, and journalists will bring five days of engaging history lessons, enriched by exhibitions, markets, performances, and reenactments. Special events will include the Medieval Book Fair, Scriptoria, dedicated to miniature painting and calligraphy, Medievalisms, exploring the Middle Ages in contemporary culture, and The Middle Ages for Kids, featuring educational activities for younger visitors.
