Perugia, from 01 to 23 June, the Festa Grande XX Giugno takes place, a wide program of institutional ceremonies and cultural events spread across the city’s historic center and symbolic locations. The initiative involves key urban sites such as civic halls, squares, churches, and monuments, including the Sala dei Notari, the Loggia dei Lanari, and the Monumento XX Giugno. The program opens with official commemorations featuring processions, wreath-laying ceremonies, and memorial acts linked to the historical events of 20 June 1859 and 20 June 1944, as well as initiatives dedicated to civic memory and the Risorgimento heritage. Alongside these, the schedule includes theatrical performances, public talks, and cultural insights focused on memory, peace, and historical identity.
