In Gubbio, from 27 September 2025 to 11 January 2026, the exhibition Francis and Brother Wolf celebrates Saint Francis ahead of the eighth centenary of his death, retracing the legend of the taming of the wolf that terrorised the town, first narrated in the Actus beati Francisci and later popularised in the Fioretti.

The exhibition presents a visual narrative spanning from the 15th to the 21st century, with paintings, sculptures, ceramics, books, engravings and documents illustrating the fortune of this iconography. Alongside the works on display, videos and immersive reconstructions allow visitors to rediscover places and testimonies linked to Franciscan tradition.

The exhibition takes place across three venues: the Civic Museum of Palazzo dei Consoli, the Diocesan Museum and the Logge dei Tiratori, turning the city into a widespread itinerary between art and spirituality.
