Teatro Stabile dell’Umbria 2026 Season
In the theatres of Umbria, from September to December, the first part of the 2026 Theatre Season of Teatro Stabile dell’Umbria takes place, featuring a programme of performances across numerous towns throughout the region. The season presents a programme dedicated to drama, contemporary productions, theatre classics and new theatrical languages, alternating productions by Teatro Stabile dell’Umbria with guest performances.
The programme brings together actors, directors and theatre companies from across Italy, presenting works ranging from new interpretations of classical plays to contemporary drama, addressing themes such as memory, identity, social change and the contemporary world. The season offers a diverse programme designed for a broad audience while fostering a dialogue between theatrical tradition and artistic innovation.
Performances are staged in the region’s main theatres, including the Teatro Morlacchi in Perugia, the Teatro Secci in Terni, the Auditorium San Domenico in Foligno, the Teatro Nuovo Gian Carlo Menotti and the Teatro Caio Melisso in Spoleto, as well as theatres in many other Umbrian towns.
