Pan Opera Festival 2026

From September 4 to October 24, Panicale, Paciano and Città della Pieve host the Pan Opera Festival, now in its 12th edition and dedicated to the theme “Love, between Heaven and Earth”. The programme offers a journey through opera, concerts, sacred music and musical theatre, with events taking place in churches, theatres and other venues across the Trasimeno area. The festival opens in Panicale on September 4 at Hotel il Rastrello with Ode al Vino, followed on September 13 by the Messa in Musica degli Artisti e degli Artigiani at the Collegiate Church of San Michele Arcangelo and the concert A’ piè de la gran croce at the Church of Sant’Agostino, featuring music by Frescobaldi, Sances, Merula and Pergolesi. On September 19, Ogni Passo è lode combines trekking and a concert at Santa Croce ai Cappuccini, presenting Franciscan music from the 13th to the 20th century. On September 20, the Teatro Cesare Caporali hosts the gala concert Operetta Mon Amour. A major new feature of this edition is the festival’s arrival in Città della Pieve, where on September 27 the Teatro degli Avvaloranti presents Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Bastien und Bastienne, a singspiel in an Italian-language version and a new production. The festival concludes in Paciano with PANOPERA Scuola 2026, devoted to Giovan Battista Pergolesi’s La Serva Padrona, with performances for schools on October 22 and 23 and a public performance on October 24. The programme connects the three municipalities through different musical repertoires and forms of performance.
